The Day of the Dead honours departed loved ones through meaningful traditions that invite the spirits of the deceased to celebrate alongside the living, bridging the gap between life and death. This ancient and vibrant tradition takes place each year on 2nd November.
Known as ‘Día de los Muertos’ in Spanish, it is one of the most colorful and captivating celebrations in Mexican culture. It’s a joyful occasion to honour the lives of those who have passed by gathering together, sharing stories, and celebrating their memory.
Celebrate Day of the Dead with GYG! This year at your local GYG, our amazing crew will wear glow in the dark face paint. There's also a chance for you to join in on the face-painting action. You will also see the restaurants decorated with vibrant Paper Skulls and Marigolds to celebrate Day of the Dead.
It’s a special day at GYG and our crew go all out to celebrate this unique cultural event. We’d like to invite you to join us in-restaurant to find out what makes this day so special!
